I attempted to purchase a puppy last year with a different breeder. That first experience did not go well at all. After doing some research I found Komar Kennels and fell in love with the sire of a litter they announced. I sent her a deposit and she was fantastic all the way through the process. Answering any email I sent within a very short time. If you want someone you can trust, I highly recommend Marion. This breeder is knowlegable, experienced, kind and caring. She made this purchase a fantastic experience. I will most likely buy my second Afghan from her as well.

I have owned Afghan hound dogs for over 30 years. I bought my first male Afghan puppy from Marion Roby, Komar Afghan Hounds, in 2010. He is a wonderful smart dog. I will be entering him in his first AKC show next month. He is very loving and gentle and of course BEAUTIFUL. I have taken him many times to my school to visit my handicapped students in my classroom, he loves visiting them. As a breeder Marion has been exceptional! She answers all questions and has been very helpful through the entire process of purchasing, flying and owning my puppy. I still e-mail her with questions and I always get prompt replies. Beautiful & wonderful puppy After many years consideration, we finally bought our first afghan hound puppy from this reputable breeder. Our puppy exceeded my expectations both with his superb afghan hound temperament but also his beautiful appearance (our puppy is a litter mate to Chelsie). If we ever decide to get another afghan hound, I will definetely contact Marion again and for any advice. She has many, many years valuable knowledge about this special breed, cares about her breeding and dogs and are happy to share her knowledge.
